Some of the favorite fishing spots in our area are Yankee Meadows Reservoir, Red Creek (Paragonah) Reservoir, Duck Creek, Navajo Lake, Quail Creek Reservoir, Minersville Reservoir, and more.

Some major area events- Iron County Fair ( Labor Day Weekend), Car shows, Southern Utah Cowboy Days and Poetry contest, Parowan Equestrian Center (rodeo, exhibition building ,race track, large picnic area) . And for you history buffs there are many historical sites in town and surrounding area, one of the really interesting things to do is go on the self guided tour of the cemetery (narration tape available through visitors center or Old Rock Church).

If you love the winter Holidays Parowan was called Christmas Town U.S.A. by Paul Harvey, because of the decorations and the Christmas celebration on Thanksgiving weekend which include Christmas Bazaar, Town Choir, Christmas Programs, and the Main Street Candle walk & program sing-along. Remember Brian Head Ski Resort is usually open this weekend.
